Antoine Volodine est un écrivain Français/Russe, son univers est composé d’un air dense et plein the poussière. Il y a quatre ans que j’ai lu “Terminus radiant”, depuis cette lecture les images no quittent pas ma conscience. je continu a voir les spectres du trajet.
Volodine s’identifie à un mouvement de sa propre invention; le post exotisme. C’est ni une “science fiction” ou une prophétie sur un future incertain. Ces paysages sont un arrière plan pour explorer la friction de plusieurs réalités à notre centre.
Il y a aussi plusieurs extraits d’enregistrements de Jim Jones. Cette événement, rapporté par Terrence McKenna de CBC, à été un point pivotant; me passant de l’enfance optimiste à voir à quel point les humains peuvent êtres cruelles.
J’ai encore bien des chose que je voudrais explorer dans cette thématique, j’anticipe plus que ce premier volume. Je vais probablement apprendre que je suis, moi aussi, post exotiste...

Antoine Volodine is a Russian/French author, his universe is made of dense air and dust for the most part. I read “Terminus Radiant” about four years ago and my mind’s eye just can’t let it go; I keep seeing spectres of scenes in the novel.
In terms of his work, Volodine coined the term “post exotic” and uses it to position the work in contemporary contexts, he also uses several pseudonyms who are “post exotic”. The post exotic is a representation of the future that is neither science fiction or prediction. It is a backdrop to an internal friction between realities.
I am also using several recordings of Jim Jones; this is a reoccurring theme in my work. The Jonestown mass suicide had been in my thoughts since that Sunday morning I heard the report by Terrance McKenna on CBC. It marked my exit from childhood optimism; into the reality of the violent beasts humans really are.
This and a good deal of upcoming work is really about trying to inhabit the post exotic space and seeing what transpires. Perhaps I will learn I am also post exotic…
